R & G Marine & Industrial Services Limited were established as a partnership in 1983 and were originally based in Gravesend, Kent, in the South East of England. As the company expanded, we relocated to our current site in Sittingbourne, Kent in 1987, acquiring further units on the same site in 1989 and 1995. The company incorporated in 2003 to become a private limited company.
Being close to the motorway network and English Channel/North Sea ports we are ideally positioned to service our customers needs in the UK, near continent and beyond.
The company is truly a family concern with day to day running now carried out by Directors Robert Newman and Heidi Sives, Who are still ably assisted part time by Company founders Graham and Deanna Newman together with other family members and a team of loyal staff, many of which have been with the company for many years, and have a wealth of experience in our trade.
In 1993 the company acquired Taylor Splice Company Limited, a company specialising in the manufacture and supply of splicing equipment, Splicing ferrules and rope fittings, This company has now been integrated into the parent company as the ‘Taylor Splice Company’ Division.
R & G has built its reputation over the years by offering its customers a fast, efficient service using quality materials at competitive prices, We will NEVER sacrifice quality or offer poor workmanship to achieve a low price, as we firmly believe this to be false economy, which only leads to unhappy customers…. The Company operates from a modern fully equipped works utilising a skilled workforce offering a comprehensive service to General Industry, Docks, Commercial Shipping, Offshore Wind Farm Industry, Civil Engineering, Construction, Marine Contractors, Power Generation, Transport, Leisure Marine, Camping and Caravanning, Film and Theatrical and many other industries. Many major UK and international companies are clients of R & G and our Taylor Splice division.

R & G Marine & Industrial Services Ltd together with our Taylor Splice division have over the years grown to become a leading manufacturer and supplier of Lifting slings, Wire rope assemblies and Architectural rigging together with supply of Specialist rigging services, Wire and Fibre ropes, Rope fittings, Lifting Equipment, Inspection and testing of Lifting gear to comply with LOLER regulations, Marine Deck and Rigging fittings, Cargo securing equipment and Fall arrest equipment. R & G also has a Hire Division, whereby most items of lifting equipment can be hired for short or long term. Our Taylor Splice division offers a range of splicing presses and hand crimpers together with splicing ferrules and rope fittings.
